This 1986 casting of the Jim Ponter Medicine Man sculpture by the Franklin Mint is a limited edition. This particular one is of Fine Pewter and numbered 2684 of 4500. It stands 13" tall and the base is 4 1/4" X 5". The sculpture flows and extends over the base, so the measurements do not accurately tell how much space this figurine requires. The detail is incredible as tools made from animals and the heads of them are still recognizable. The feathers in the headress and his fingernails are clear. One would not expect to find defects or cracks in this type of sculpture, and there are none. The signature appears on the rear of the base, and the plaque under the base reads : MEDICINE MAN by Jim Ponter Official Issue of the Western Heritage Museum fine pewter 1986 The Franklin Mint 2684/4500. It will be heavy to ship but it may fit in a large Flat Rate Box for those bidders west of the Mississippi. We are a smoke free home. There are no handling fees and we reimburse excess postage.
