This no reserve auction features a limited edition Franklin Mint 1:24 replica of a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C with a Gloss Black and Chrome trim color scheme. This Shelby Cobra 427 replica is a beautiful reproduction of one of the most highly desirable and collectible cars ever made. This limited edition aluminum model (aluminum...just like the real Shelby Cobra 427) reflects all the precision details - exceptional body design, and accurate windshield, interior, trim, engine, and wheels - that the Franklin Mint is noted for producing. This Shelby model includes the Cobra-specific special roll bar and exhausts, accurate 427 engine details, undercarriage finish, and several other Shelby details that make this model a right-on replica. This limited edition die-cast is numbered 1224 out of 1500 produced in this Gloss Black and Chrome trim scheme. The limited edition number is stamped on a factory-produced plate that FM mounted in the trunk. This model is in mint condition, but because it is now ten years since being produced by the FM in 2002, I can not list it as "new". It is in the same-as-puchased mint condition...I see no noticeable flaws.
