DARK ANGEL of DESTINY

BY BROM

No Reserve!!! The Dark Angel of Destiny sculpture is an original design by acclaimed fantasy artist, BROM. It is crafted of fine, hand-painted porcelain.

"She lives on the edge of darkness .......

but her beauty shines through on dark angel's wings."

"Deep in an ancient forest alight with a mosaic of spring colors, sit seven little sisters around a quiet sparkling pond. Their mother circles them, touching each little girl gently on the head and reminding them that very soon, the beautiful white doves would arrive. One of these birds would land on each of their shoulders, and thus would foretell their futures. She had told them this story over and over again, and they were filled with a joyful excitement that the day had finally arrived.

These white doves would bestow upon each child the blessing of kindness and love throughout their lives, and their mother was anxious for this rite of passage to come to fruition. But all did not go as planned. When the sun had climbed directly over the pond , six magnificent doves appeared. Each dove in turn circled the pond and selected one of the little girls to land upon. And when all had landed, the girls' garments suddenly shown brightly, and an image of angelic wings appeared on their backs.

But the seventh child, the youngest of them all, had eyes filled with tears as no white dove had landed on her. And just as she was about to run away, a large black raven swooped in over the pond and sat upon her shoulder. Immediately, she sprouted large black wings, horrifying her mother and sisters who all ran from the little girl in fear, leaving her all alone with the ominous raven.

The crow then transformed into a shadowy dark presence, and presented her with a magical trident possessing dark powers only she could wield. The presence proclaimed her the Dark Angel of Destiny , and commanded she hold this forest realm for the rulers of the Dark Side.

She would never see her family again and grew up to be the most beautiful of them all. She could enslave any man she disired, but soon grew weary of them, developing a hardened heart which no one could penetrate. And with the power of her trident, she became a great warrior, championing the reign of the darkest angel of all.

Though long dead and stagnant, the old pond is now the only place she finds any peace. But the memories of those happier days have nearly faded. Yet each night as the moon reflects upon the murkey water, she imagines a magnificent white dove landing on her shoulder --and wonders what life would have been like if not for a single act of destiny that thrust her into this world of eternal darkness."
