This item up for bids is a very impressive early retired set of the Franklin Mint Fire Trucks. This all Pewter set is nothing short of elegance in the art of Pewter Craftsmanship. This International Fire Truck Collection was produced about 15 or 20 years ago. I can not remember when exactly but they have been on my wall for at least 14 years. This set is undamaged clean and very detailed. All Pewter work the detail is amazing. I built a cover for this set to keep the dust off the trucks. The photos shows both. Cover on and Cover Off. These fire trucks were some of the most widely used types in the world. From the UK, to the US this set shows them all. The Arens Fox, The Christie, and early Steam type pumpers.

Nothing I have ever run across has showed so many different types of these Fire Apparatus in one grouping. I bought this set when I was a Fire Fighter before I retired. The set has been on the wall. Like everything, the wife wants to go a different direction on decor, so as all men know we are the first items to get gone! Asked to sell or stow the set I opted to make it available to the collectors of the world. You can not buy this set now as its not even listed on the Franklin Mint site. I searched for this on Google and could not find it any more. Maybe just too many years gone by. In any case the set is in Mint condition. Each piece was gently put on its shelf and has sit t over the past decade. Its a very clean and respectable set all Pewter and I have put other pieces in pewter I have collected as well. Lots of very rare and scarce piece now days. The complete set and display ready to show the world is included. The dark Oak type base is very eye catching. The set is of course heavy. I mean its all pewter. About 12 pounds to be exact. Thats a lot of Pewter!!

Each piece will be individually wrapped for protection. Lots of little parts in the detail on the vehicles. This set is just a very unique and Beautiful set. Never to be released again this set will always be a collectors display and you really have to see it in person to appreciate all the fine work from the Franklin Mint. No one does it better for museum type displays and this one is no exception. I took plenty of photos to show the exquisite models available in the set. Even a Pierce token I picked up at the Pierce Mfg. Co. in Appleton Wis on a tour w they make the Fire Trucks. Its all pewter as well. I picked some of these pieces up across the country as we traveled on vacations over the years. This is a one of a kind collection and spans a carrier in the Fire Service.
