She is crafted of hand-painted fine porcelain and dressed in an authentic turn-of-the-century gown of fine China silk and imported French lace with hand tied rosettes and faux pearl buttons. If you haven't seen the Gibson Girl dolls they are truly beautiful creations. Charles Dana Gibson created the Gibson Girls for magazine illustrations in the mid 1800s. Their style was loved and copied by women of the time.
These dolls are fired for only 45 days in a strictly limited edition. This doll has never been removed from her original box and has all the accessories & brochures from the Franklin Mint including the original invoice showing an original price of over $300.
