The wit and wisdom of Benjamin Franklin-captured in a new and unique form. Offered to you is this beautiful Franklin Mint production of Poor Richard's Pewter Plate Miniatures. This set was issued by subscription only in a limited edition. The subscription deadline was March 31, 1980 and were offered at the subscription price of 9.75 each plate. This set includes all 25 individually minted fine pewter miniature plates. The crafting of each plate in fine pewter is an achievement in itself. For each one is fully minted from hand-finished dies. Pewter is an ideal medium for this collection as it is associated with the Colonial period. Each plate measures 2 inches in diameter. Some of the saying on the plates include: "A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned", "A Stitch In Time Saves Nine", "No Gains Without Pains", and "Early to Bed, and Early to Rise, makes a man Healthy, Wealthy and Wise." The plates come complete with pamphlet and display shelf. This set comes from my personal collection and is mint condition. It has been stored and has never been displayed. I pack items carefully and ship priority mail in most cases. I try to ship within 2 business days of receiving cleared payment. I accept Paypal, Postal money orders or cashiers checks and require payment within 5 days of auction end. All items are sold AS IS, NO REFUNDS!
