Franklin Mint Porcelain Sculpture Jesus Christ "The Transfiguration" with COA BeautifulWe are offering for sale this Franklin Mint 1989 sculpture of "The Transfiguration", a radiant portrait of Christ rising to the sky. In this splendid vision, Jesus was revealed to his disciples as the Son of God. This piece recreates the magnificent original painting by the genius of the Renaissance-Raphael. This was his last and most glorious achievement before his sudden death at the age of 37. To this day the painting is housed in the Vatican. This piece is 10 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" wide. It has a beautifully crafted solid wood base (which adds another 1 1/4" to the height.This piece is individually cast in fine imported porcelain and hand painted in the rich coloring of Raphael's palette. The condition of this beautifully detailed sculpture is excellent with no flaws. The wood base has a few areas where the finish is slightly dull, these cannot be seen when the sculpture is in place. The certificate of authenticity is included. This piece originally sold for $195.00.
