Up for Auction: One Colt Peacemaker. 1873 Fast Draw. 4 and three quarter inch (4 3/4) barrel Nickel/Gold Plated and Fully Engraved. Full Metal/Simulated Ivory Grips with a scrimshaw Eagle Design. This gun is full metal and fully plated in nickel and gold and fully engraved too. The Gold Plated parts are as follows: Triger Guard, Backstrap, Hammer, and the Ejector Rod Housing. Beautiful gun with a "Stage Coach" Scene on the barrel and the "Red River D" Brand on the frame! This gun also has a blank area on the backstrap for engraving your name, just like John Wayne's personal sixguns. The quality of this gun is very high, and it is made in Japan of over 30 precision machined parts. It is truly beautiful. This gun is the same as the Franklin Mint John Wayne commemorative. It is made by the same company, at the same factory, using the same molds and manufacturing process as the original FM guns......The maker of this gun in Japan has secured the rights to produce this gun (In limited Quantities) from the Franklin Mint, although for the life of me, I can't figure out how!
