Franklin Mint-The Soldiers of the Worlds Greatest Armies are pewter sculptures, 2 1/2 inches high, that were issued in 1980 and are now retired. there were originally 50 soldiers issued. there are only 48 in this auction. each soldier had a boxed card that gave his history. there are only 38 cards in this auction. a few of the cards have a crease or a wrinkled corner. i do have the ctf of authenticity. each figure is very intricately detailed. the photos really don't do justice to them. they are all in excellent condition but pewter is a very soft metal so a few may have a slightly bent weapon, such as a sword or a rifle barrel. if you're careful you can straighten them out. each soldier is identified under the base, i.e. "Japanese Samuri 1580". the soldiers come in a custom wood shelf unit that measures 16 1/2" X 21 1/2" X 3 1/2". i'll add parcel post as a shipping option to keep the cost down.
