early 1990's Franklin-era SouthWest - Tony Chohan's player with Ginacues leather wrap � Possibly the best-playing cue I've owned, this was 1-pocket great Tony Chohan's player for years - you can search the internet and AZ Billiards photos to find pictures of him actually shooting with it. � This is my fourth Franklin Southwest, and while they all played great, this is the best. � The person who sold it to me is completely reliable - the story is that Tony Chohan had his choice of a group of vintage SouthWest cues, hit with each and chose this one. � I can see why - it plays phenomenally. � Unfortunately, I need to sell some cues and I do have a few other nice ones that I can play with, and this one is the most valuable - for that reason, it's available, but at a minimal price that I won't budge from. � My desperation is your gain :) Condition: cue is straight and shafts are straight. � The forearm is a beautiful mix of maple types, with 6 points (3 high,3 low) of what Laurie generally describes as Macassar ebony (but looks to me more like Brazillian rosewood) points. � The wrap was done by Ernie Gutierrez of Ginacues and is a very dark brown (almost black) leather that has a great 'worn' look (because it is) - it has the trademark double rings at each end. � The butt has a LOT of dings in it, but you'll get used to it. � I've seen videos of Tony playing on bar boxes with the butt sitting on the metal, so I'm not surprised. � A quick butt refinish is easy enough, but I wouldn't touch this bit of history. � The forearm only has a few very minor dings. � The shafts are around 12.6 and 12.55 (below the tip) - I'm being conservative here, as my Starrett floats around a bit.
