FRANKOMA SMALL RAM'S HEAD VASE #38 You are bidding on a Frankoma Small Ram's Head Vase #38. It is made of Ada clay and Desert Gold glaze. It measures 6" tall. This vase was produced from 1934-1949. Vase is in very good shape overall but does have a spot on the rim that is a space in the pottery itself. Looks like the clay had a space in it before it was fired. On the inside and not noticable on the outside. Can be seen on the top of picture 3 and on the lower right side in picture 4. Tried to get a clearer picture but seemed to blur. Nice glaze pattern and clean on the inside. No water marks. Pictured in Schaum's book on page 30 Frankoma pottery is located in Supulpa, OK and has been in business since the 30's and designed many, many pieces both in art pottery, advertising and dinnerware. The orginal pieces were made with Ada clay and later pieces Supulpa clay from the area. . Thanks for looking and will answer any questions that you would have. Notice: Over the next few months I will be selling my entire collection of Frankoma. This consists of 100's of pieces from S&P's to wonderful art pottery. Please visit my other ebay auctions or let me know if you have a special requests. Hard to tell what people are looking for so will list something first if t are requests for it. I would like to thank everyone who has watched and bid on my auctions over the last couple of months. I appreciate them and also all the advise and help given me by my fellow ebayers.
