You are bidding on 1 s igned Frederick Carder STEUBEN clear crystal and red 12" candle stick holder. Signed Steuben in block letters (see photo 2, look in the center, bottom third, there is a small group of acid etched block letters that spell the name STEUBEN). This is an old family piece. This is a piece from the Steuben Art Deco period. It has been identified, by Steuben glass in Corning NY as a Frederick Carder Steuben piece from prior to 1930. The base is 5 1/4" diameter; the top is 2 7/8" diameter. This is hand blown and crafted by hand. The red glass is layered over the clear glass at four places on the candle stick holder: the top edge forming two bands; the red glass support between the column and top holder - this positioned to appear off-center and there is a very small area 1/4"x 1/5" that is not covered in red glass; the space between the column and the base. The column and base have very light vertical lines that can be felt by touch and somewhat visible. You can see the vertical lines on the column in the first photo. The interior of the column glass has some very tiny random specs on the inside wall. There are two light 5/8" scratches on the base and one 1/8" rough spot on the column near the red glass joiner.
