Tonight I am offering a really special find. It does have a thin lined crack that goes midway from the back of the vase across the bottom. It is dated April 26, 1881 and signed with the initials M.E.M. It is also incised with "Dallas 1881". From research I have found that this is a Frederick Dallas Hamilton vase. This was called Frederick Dallas Hamilton Road Pottery (1865-1882). I have been told that some of the artists that did these pieces were Rookwood artists. The vase is a grayish green with white leaves and flowers and butterflies. Inside the vase is what appears to be a firing flaw. When looking at the front of the vase that has all the flowers, etc. it appears to be in mint condition, but as I stated in the beginning t is a long thin crack in the piece. This is a really elegant looking piece and has pretty interesting pottery historical value. I am beginning this piece at a low reserve of $100.00. Note: My shipping charges are based on what I think it will cost because I am known for over packaging in order to deliver items safely. Should the package cost less to send I fully refund the difference with the package, if it costs more, I pay the difference.
