Well known for his still lifes using flowers, insects, nests and other natural objects. This paintings is incredibly rich in detail, color, form, light, and reflection. Very robust and sharp, crisp detail throughout. Wver you look on the painting t are numerous butterflies, dragonflies, ants, inchworms, grasshoppers and assorted other whimsical insects. His capture of dewdrops and reflected light is masterful. Transparent and filtered light and shadows in every detail. Truly wonderful artwork, a pleasure to look into all the nooks and crannies.
