Biographical Information about Frederick Jonas Wilder: Frederick Jonas Wilder was the son of Arthur B. Wilder, who was himself an avid Vermont artist and manager of the Woodstock Inn for over 35 years. Frederick Wilder graduated from the Harvard college and its graduate architectural school. Throughout his life he painted and travelled to Europe alongside his father. He painted chiefly in oils, and earned first prize for a painting he titled Across the Valley". Frederick Wilder was a member of the Wellesley Society of Painters and Portland Haylofters.
