Trilobites and Fossilized Marble , for collectors, decorators and resalers Free Horned Leonaspis (Kettneraspis) Trilobite from Morocco with No Reserve You are bidding on this BEAUTIFUL AND REAL TRILOBITE PROFESSIONALLY PREPARED originally from ALNIF south east of MOROCCO dated from the Devonian period (350 to 395 million years ago). The size of the specimen is 4" by 3.5" (matrix included). Trilobites are hard-shelled, segmented creatures that lived hundreds of millions of years ago in the Earth's ancient seas. They are considered to be one of our planet's earliest complex life-forms and are one of the key signature creatures of the Paleozoic Era. Trilobites went extinct before dinosaurs even existed. Trilobites were the first creatures with a skeleton (Exoskeleton) so they were easily fossilized. Their shell is divided lengthwise into three lobes (hence, the name TRILOBITE): a head, or cephalon; a middle region called the thorax, made up of a number of overlapping segments (anyw from 2 to 61); and a tail, or pygidium, in which the segments were fused. This is a chance to add this beautiful fossil to your collection. Shipping with insurance (within USA) will be $11.95. Any question you can email us at .
