Karen Germany's "Aunt Fannie" doll with original tags attached dated 1994. One of her true-to-life collectible Black Americana dolls. Original clothes. Nothing has been changed or been retouched. The original doll from the days when Karen and her husband were manufacturing these dolls fulltime in Texas, well before they retired. Her clothes have no defects, and there are no chips or marks on her body. She wears a traditional apron-type flowery pinafore over her street dress with stockings below the knee rolled as they were worn back in the 50's and 60's. Her hair is worn as the maids back during that time also. Our family had a maid named Cassie who came everyday to help with raising me as my mother cared for my invalid, handicapped sister. Cassie was our family and I loved her like a mother. If this doesn't sell, I probably won't put it up for auction again.
