Attractive XVIIIth century Vaisselier made of cherry and birshwood. The top part features a nicely scrolled freeze 3 shelves with straight bars to hold and display crockery. You will notice that the bar of the first shelf is warped. The bottom part features a pair of drawers above a nice pair of paneled arched doors which are ornate with pierced iron escutcheons. The apron is lovely scrolled and stands on cabriole legs. This buffet features a simple but effective inlaid ornamentation. This Vaisselier come from the area "Vendee". It is actually a piece for engagement which was offered to the young couple before their wedding. Circa date 1790. Dimensions 79.5"high/ 57"wide/ 26"deep. The price quoted includes any necessary repairs or cleaning and the shipping from France to our store in Alabama.
