If you've ever wanted to own a fantastic 19th century French gilt-bronze clock like this, then 's your chance. This exquisite time piece is a real beauty. Except for a tiny piece broke off of the top finial(Ithink), this clock set is perfect. The highly detailed case is something to look at. with it's endless designs and the beautiful painted porcelain insert depicting a romantic scene. The two candelabra are just as striking with very intricate detailing and complementary porcelain paintings. They each hold four candles. I don't see a maker name on the movement but it is numbered. The name may be behind the cathedral gong!?.The movement is clean and in good working order and features a lovely open-escapement. The two-tiered painted porcelain face is surrounded by a fancy brass bezel with thick beveled glass. This beauty measures approx. 14-1/2"high, 10" wide and 4" deep. The garnitures (candle holders) are 16-1/2" high and 5" wide at the base. This is an exceptionally nice antique French clock set that is in excellent working condition and in excellent condition all around. Don't pass this one up, as it will make a fine addition to your home or collection, and will only increase in value while you are enjoying it for years to come. Please email with any questions.
