I've been told it's a WORTH compact - although I'm not familiar with the signature I'm sure someone will recognize it. The design house of Worth used only the finest suppliers, amongst them Rene Lalique for their perfume bottles. The front of the compact has a typical French Deco motif of a basket of flowers inset with tiny marcasites - could be sterling but I can't find a mark. The opener is also of exceptional quality as is the expensive and very neat piano hinge at the back. Further good surprises - on opening one is presented with a crystal clear perfect mirror, two compartments, a part lipstick holder and a tortoise shell colored comb. The larger section is nice and clean and looks virtually unused, the smaller section contains remnants
