is a vintage 1920s French Art Deco silver, enamel, eggshell laquer cigarette case. It measures ~ 3-1/4" X 2-1/2" (8.2cm X 6.6cm). I bought this with a small collection of 10 other eggshell cases. For some reason this was my favorite even over elaborate Sandoz designs etc. The others are long gone. I think it is the color and simple design. It is marked with 2 marks on the inside of each side. One of the marks is clearly the siler guarantee in the diamond shape. The other 2 are unknown to me and impossible to read. Condition is good with a small chip to the enamel on one back (non eggshell side) corner shown in the last pic. I got a repair estimate 6 years ago of $100.
