This item is an original strike off produced as part of the printing process to assess screens,colour, and repeat before production. This 1960's hexagon design shows the repeat edge, and t are a few remnants of the original design attached.. it is form the archive of Bianchini ferier, which was auctioned at Christies, in King St , St James, london, in 2001.Bianchini ferier is pssibly the most well known top quality textile producer of the C20th . It began in the late C19th and was soon producing innovative printed silks for Parisian Couture houses such as Paul poiret, Lucile, Vionnet and Chanel. It employed Raoul Dufy who cretaed his famous range of designs including Toiles de Tournon, for the Tournon interior furnishing range.This design framed, would make a wonderful furnishing piece and is also an excellent design resource for manufacturers or artists. Designs will be sold weekly over the following months, allowing everyone to build up a wonderful collection of their own.It is approx 50cmx 40cm, Ink on paper. Please note t are original marks, creases and notations consistent with its use a part of the printing processDesigns cost £2.50 in the UK, or £10 P&P US (please ask about other locations.)Additional designs can be included in the same package at a minimal 50p or £1 respectively.An economic package can be built uo over several weeks if you wish to bid across several auctions.Please ask if you have further questions.
