French Bronze "Aladdin's lamp

Revision in bold: I took all my listed lamps to a metal expert and can confirm that this is a bronze lamp (see the Handel lamp for expert's qualifications).
The lamp is French and 9" tall and 7-1/2" wide. It is in good condition except that the eagle has a hole going through its beak so I assume t was a chain or something the bird was holding in its mouth. Also, in my transporting it the base portion that holds the socket became disattached from the top of the eagle's head. The expert did not think that was significant and advised that a good glue be used to reattach it. The piece does not have any markings except that it is marked, "Made in France." It works well, but does not have a pull chain (the switch is on the wire). I listed this in the category of 1940 to present because I do not know its age. Weight = approx. 3-1/2 lbs (heavy for a small lamp) T is no shade but t are three screws that can easily secure a globe to it. I am always happy to answer questions you might have so please be courteous and ask them before youbid. It is most appreciated. Do not wait until the last three minutes of the auction's end because I may not have access to a computer.
