Now.......Presented for auction is a wonderful 19th century bronze or brass gilded victorian French vanity casket with a hand painted signed portrait miniature in excellent condition. Lovely stars accentuate a hand painted portrait of s 18th century lady on ivory surronded by intricate ormolu. Portrait digned by "Pauliz". Excellently executed. French stars adorne the hinged lid. The sides are decorated with torches and palm sprays..all covered with gilt. The interior is cropped midnight blue velvet. All in excellent condition. Marked "France" on bottom. Obivously made prior to any restrictions on ivory as a decorative element. Nice artifact of 19th century France perfect for a dresser , vanity or your jewelery !!!!!!!! Measures 4 1/2" wide by 4" from top to bottom and 1 1/2" tall. Gauranteed authentic and original. Shipping with INS in USA is $10.00 Thanks!
