Carriage clock, 4 1/2" tall, silver-plated over brass, with key-operated movement that runs for several days. Non-original key included. Chips on the inside of 3 of the 5 glass plates. Porcelain face with 2 bits of transparent tape showing at the bottom. This is quite a heavy little clock that I believe has a French movement made for the English trade. "Hands" is engraved in script under the time adjuster and "F" and "S" for "fast" and "slow" are engraved on the back next to the speed adjuster. However, "R" and "A" for "retard" and "avance" are engraved on top of the movement, indicating that this is, indeed, a French movement. The model or serial number 3392 is engraved in the back. Time only - no bells or chimes.
