French Country Provincial Sideboard Buffet This beautiful 62” French Provincial sideboard buffet was purchased by my parents in the late 1950s and lovingly cared for. It is in remarkable condition – truly outstanding. This is now part of my parents’ estate, and unfortunately we do not have the room to keep it. This piece has five drawers and two storage compartments. Each of the small drawers is divided into three felt lined compartments, as pictured, to hold flatware. The large drawers are ideal for table linens. Each compartment has a shelf; the compartments are ideal for storing china or glassware. The fruitwood finish is in remarkable condition. There are no water rings, gouges, significant scratches, or other flaws – see the pictures. The piece is structurally excellent, with nothing broken or missing. It is well made; all the joints are solid with no wobble, and the drawers are dovetailed on all four corners. I cannot find any manufacturers’ stamp on the piece, but this is part of a set and I found a Broyhill tag in one of the pieces (pictured), so it may have been made by Broyhill. The buffet measures 62” long and 21” deep. It sits about 34” high. The two small drawer fronts are about 13” x 5 7/8”. The large drawer fronts are 29” x 5 7/8”, 29” x 7 7/8”, and 29” x 8 7/8”. The two doors measure 17 ¾” x 13”. This is part of a set, and I have matching dining room pieces. I also have a complete French Provincial bedroom set. I am listing just a few pieces now; if you are looking for a different piece in this style send me a message – I may have it.
