From our family to yours a most happy and healthy holiday season and New Years. Up for auction, for your consideration, French Empire pair of Bronze and Marble Candleabras. Ca. 1840's old in as found original and untouched condition. This fancy pair of candleabras is made of solid Bronze and Marble. Boasting fantastic architectural elements througout each. Base is marked by maker 'CL'. We are not quite sure of the maker. Feel free to give us a little insight into who you believe it to be. This pair was obtained from a family that recieved them out of their family's castle estate in the south of France. They are good and old and look to have been used regularly. Quite heavy they stand with grace and sturdiness. The Base is so architectural and boasts puttis, figural heads of gods, coat of arms, and so much more detail. The candle holders are fabulously designed as well with one missing on each candleabra. Each now consists of 4 holders. Overall condition is very good for their age and do show signs of as can be expected age wear and use throughout. Overall, each measures 23' tall by 9" wide. The base measures just under 9" tall and is tri-footed measuring 6" wide. The marble column measures about 8" tall and the top section measures 8" tall. Would most certainly enhance your fine decor or make a fabulous addition to you collection of fine Bronze pieces such as this. Good luck and good bidding to you...
