These statuesque 19th century beauties are simply stunning in person, no lie, and remind me of ancient Greek mythology, in particular the Goddess Venus & her son Cupid. They stand an impressive 18.0"H x 5.25"L x 5.25"W, and are decorated in lovely shades of tan, white, yellow & gold, wearing transparent flimsy chiffon-like risque nightgowns or dresses, which show the clear outline of their navels, as well as reveal one breast each with nipple. And an angel/cupid/putti/cherub lies at the feet of each one, holding a bunch of lovely Autumn colored flowers or leaves, as well as the art nouveau type goddesses. The detail is really phenomenal, as the artist that created them did so with minute detail, from their intaglio blue eyes, sculpted locks of blonde hair, defined toenails & fingernails, to the intricate folds & pleats of their scarf like robes, including adding raised scrolled bases & beautifully handpainted flowers & stars throughout ~ exquisite! Furthermore, this gorgeous matched set is in excellent vintage condition, with just a few small slivers off the rim of the base; heads, hands, fingers, toes, legs, arms, necks, coloring, robes, detail, et al, perfect. They would make a wonderful addition to your collection! Any questions, please feel free to ask & I will answer to the best of my ability. S/h/i via UPS will be determined after the auction, as they are way too big to meet USPS regulations, thus they will have to be sent via UPS (rough estimate for those in the States is around $100 with insurance), which includes a small fee for packing materials & listing.
