Early M.Model RCA Victor glass car mascot. This rare 1920s dog ornament is not yet documented in any mascot book, although another M.Model mascot is photographed in books like M.Legrand Mascottes Automobiles. Glass mascots are quite rare to find today, and like Lalique, Sabino, and Etling generally reach premium prizes. This piece is intact and is auctioned without reserve. A truly beautiful advertising item to add to your collection. Historical note: In 1929, RCA ( Radio Corporation of America ) purchased the Victor Talking Machine Company, then the world's largest manufacturer of phonographs (including the famous " Victrola ") and phonograph records (what are called " gramophone records " in British English). The company then became RCA-Victor. With Victor, RCA acquired use of the famous trademark of the dog " Nipper " listening to " His Master's Voice " in the New World and other various other countries ( European and Commonwealth rights to the logo were retained by Victor's independent British partner HMV ). Signed M.Model on one side. Height: 8cm If you have any question just send me an email prior to end of auction.
