French Guinea 1 Franc Pick 2a. This would grade VF if it were not for the repaired center tear. The repair is less noticeable on the front but clearly visible on the back. There is a small stain in the lower right corner, there are two pinholes and two small holes in the note plus a small tear in the upper center. The note is well-centered and bright. This is sold as is with no return accepted since the description and scans show the defects. I bought this many years ago for the type intending to replace it with a better one but nothing reasonably priced came along so I still have it. I am starting the auction at the same price I paid for this note more than fifteen years ago. Insurance is required on this item. Can also ship registered which is the safest way. However, insurance is not available on international registration. While I have never lost an international registered shipment, the risk is on the buyer. Other shipping services are also available according to the buyer preference. I will be selling a major part of my collection during the next few months mostly by individual country.
