This is a very well made clock has no makers mark but all the back fittings are doweled and the top is cast, Quite a heavy clock for its size these features are found on top end clocks. · CLOCK CASE : Solid brass with no blemishes or tarnish. The rear door opens and closes with satisfying precision! Size medium height 11 cm without handle width 8 cm depth 7 cm. Case has been waxed to prevent tarnishing case is in excellent condition. The case is a Corniche model. I estimate the clock to be approx., 1900 · MOVEMENT : Beautifully engineered classic French Obis movement. Movement was checked for wear then cleaned, polished and oiled. The escapement is a new 11 jewel Swiss lever escapement works well with good amplitude has been ultrasonically cleaned, and re oiled. The movement should not now need servicing again for years. · DIAL : Masked gold plated dial with Arabic numerals in excellent condition. The gold platting has been lacquered to maintain its luster. · G LASSES : All bevelled and made of high quality optical glass I think original all are in excellent condition.
