For your bidding pleasure this week we are offering a varied mixture of items. Here is a Crown Wheel Movement for a Morbier Grandfather Clock. I surmise that the movement dates from very early in the 19th Century (very early 1800s). It is complete and will strike the hour on the hour and then once more two minutes past the hour. It strikes once on the half hour. You can see where someone has put very modern string on the movement, and it does run. However there is no dial, no bezel, no pendulum, no hands, no weights, and no side covers. The bell had a crack through a radius and someone has soldered it together. It measures 9 ½ x 9 ½ x 5 ½ inches. This box will be sent in a Large Flat Rate Priority Mail Box. I will remove the bell post and the suspension mount from the top and the bell hammer if necessary to accomplish this. I will send an invoice within a couple of hours after closing of the auction. The invoice will reflect the Priority Mail charges plus a six buck surcharge. This surcharge is to cover packing costs, insurance and delivery confirmation. If the high bidder wins more than one lot this week, if possible they will be packed together and there might be a savings in postage. However
