OLD FRENCH PORCELAIN BOX SCENIC FIGURAL MOULDED RELIEF Approx Measurements 4 1/2"L by 3 1/4"D by 2 1/4"H weight 11.8oz marked Crown Naples Made In France Bronze Mounts Floral Sprig Interior This wonderful little box came from an auction held in the Midwest. Condition is quite wonderful. T are no cracks or chips or repairs to this piece. Quality of the porcelain is lovely. T is some wear to the base and back hinge mount which I have photographed. Hinges and fittings are tight and secure.T is no loss to the gold paint. Application is careful and uniform. Colours are bright and vivid. Each decorative relief panel depicts cherubs frolicking. Delightful renderings. Highly decorative.FUN! Top Panel depicts Neo-classic Ben Hur figure in relief. Capodimonte styling is fantastic. Just thing this is a cheerful piece. whimsical and extremely well-made. If you are a lover of cherubs, porcelain boxes, or looking for a highly ornate decorative piece for an upcoming event, this would make a superb display.
