WWI French pilot Henri Maurice Boujarel served during WWI and as a combat pilot during the 1921-1926 RIFF WAR in Morocco against the Republic of RIF anti-colonial forces of abd el-Krim. Boujarel's log book can be found in another of my auctions this week. (It begins with his 1920 service with l' Escadrille BR51. Page 7 finds him with the 87 Regiment Aviation of Casablanca flying a Breguet. His first combat missions, against objectives specified in his log, begin on 22 MAY 1922. Descriptions of his 175 combat missions as well as column protection and reconnaisance missions, fill most of the remaining seventy-five pages of the logbook!) This auction is for:1> THREE photographs of Boujarel recieving the French Legion of Honor (Legion de Honneur) for his combat missions during the RIFF WAR. 4.5" X 6".2> A photograph of Boujarel after his RIFF WAR service with a gentleman his niece idfentified as Mssr. Henri Farman (They were friends). 3.25" X 2.5".3> A photograph, identified and dated on the reverse, of Boujarel in Morocco in 1923.4> A photo of Boujarel in his dress whites. 3.75" X 2.5". 5> 2 reproduced photographs, one of a tractor-ambulance and an ambulance aircraft of WWI and a second of Henri Farman's daughter Andree, also an aviator, with Boujarel's niece, from whom I acquired these materials (The aircraft is, of course, a Farman). Each 5" X 7". His niece has made notes on the reverse and taped a copy of a postcard he sent to his father while serving as a WWI pilot.Please see the other auctions of materials related to Pilote Henri Maurice Boujarel in this auction.As you can see, my auctions are now restricted to United Stated buyers.
