Due to non payment, this drawing is been brought back on the market. From a find on a market in the South of France, is this magnificent and very decorative large size architectural drawing. The drawing, executed in pen, ink, grey wash on laid paper paper, depicts a study for a door frame.Authorship : the drawing is from the French school, and clearly was the work of an architect.Period : ca. 1780-1790.Size : 57,4x47cm (large size !!).Condition : reasonable. The sheet suffered and was laid down at a thicker sheet (done in the early 19th century). The paper is damaged (small holes) in the zone mid and right below. Horizontal : traces of folding. Right : bubbling spots in the paper. Two spot zone right below and a large brown spot side below right. Unframed.Shipping : flat shippingrate 22$ (larger size, impossible to roll up !).
