STUNNING FRENCH SOLID SILVER COMPACT This is an absolutely stunning French solid Silver Compact beautifully decorated with asilver gilt band running down the centre of the lid. Engraved along the silver gilt band are3 bouquets of flowers encrusted with 27 rubies. The push clasp to release the clip andopen the compact is also inlaid with 7 rubies. The silver on the lid either side of the bandis decorated in a diamond pattern.When you open the compact the mirror with a bevelled edge is inside the lid. The french silver marks can be seen here either side of the clasp opening. One of the marks being the french wild boar.This is a truly stunning compact of the best quality and must have belonged to a very chic ladyof the 1920's/30's.Measurements:7.5 cm x 7.5 cm square1 cm deepSilver gilt band is 2 cm wideWeight overall 152.3 gr.Please take a moment to look at my postage details.
