FRENCH STERLING SILVER MEDIEVAL STYLE FILIGREE BRACELET Presented is a striking French sterling silver bracelet. The bracelet is composed of ten chains of links with a large silver buckle at the end. The openwork buckle is covered with beautiful filgree and beaded decoration and blue, green, and red stones. The stones are not real. The stones also have a much more vivid color than our photographs show. A sterling silver pin slides through the coils on the buckle and the end piece to close the bracelet. The bracelet was made to look like something from the 1200s or the 1300s, but it is probably from the mid-1800s. The bracelet is marked with a French maker's mark for an unknown maker. We have tested it and guarantee it to be sterling silver. Since t is no government guarantee mark it is almost impossible to say definitively that this piece was made in France. The piece does not look like typical French jewelry, although the French may just about every style that ever existed. Regardless of w this piece was made it is very fine quality and definitely silver. The condition is excellent. The pin closes the bracelet very securely. T are no dents, no breaks, and no repairs. The bracelet is 7 1/4 inches long. It could be resized, but links from each of the ten chains would have to be cut, a difficult and time-consuming job. This piece should only be purchased if it fits you. The weight is 86 grams or 3 ounces.
