It is an Alarm Carriage Clock, standing 5 1/2 inches high, and it is made of very thick brass with 24K gold plating on it, and having bevelled glass on all four sides, as well as, on the top, showing its delicate platform escapement. The clock has roman numerals, and an eight day mechanical movement, which winds from the rear. It has an alarm on a crisp brass bell, and you can set it to go off very easily.
