FABULOUS FRENCH PORCELAIN AND GILT BRONZE 8 DAY CLOCK BY MARTI & CO MADE FOR TIFFANY AND SIGNED AS SUCH ON THE MOVEMENT BEHIND THE BELL. THIS CLOCK IS IN GREAT WORKING ORDER AND IN GOOD CONDITION THROUGHOUT. IT HAS ONLY A SMALL HAIRLINE CRACK IN THE FACE AS CAN BE SEEN ON THE CLOSE UP DETAIL OF THE FACE. THIS CRACK CANNOT BE SEEN WHEN LOOKING AT THE CLOCK NORMALLY AND DOES NOT DETRACT FROM IT AT ALL. THE DETAIL OF WORK IN THIS CLOCK IS AMAZING, WITH HAND DECORATED CHERUBS ON THE PORCELAIN - WHICH IS POSSIBLY SEVRES. THERE IS A GILT CHERUB PLAYING A HARP ON THE TOP OF THE CLOCK AND GILT MASKS WITH RAMS HORNS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE CLOCK. THE CLOCK HAS AN 8 DAY MOVEMENT AND IS RUNNING WELL. IT STRIKES THE HLAF HOUR AND HOUR ON A BELL.
