French Victorian Agate Cross & Sterling Anchor Brooch

We are pleased to offer you another Rare and wonderful Victorian piece! This is from the late 1800's! A wonderful piece, done with the combination of Agate and Sterling. The entire piece measures 3 5/8" long, including the bale, by 1 3/4" wide, by 3/8" deep and weighs 16.2grs. The Cross is made from Orbicular Agate with eccentric Eye. The wonderful shading of Dark to light browns, with white outling the eccentric Eye, is just lovely. The measurement of just the Cross is approx., 2 1/2" long, not knowing how much of the agate is down in the Anchor, by 1 1/4" wide, by 1/4" thick. At the top is a large round hoop style bale, t is a SWAN Hallmark (French) dating this to 1893. The Anchor at the base of the Cross, has beautiful hand engraved detailing. A twisted rope of silver entwines around the Cross, from the bale to the Anchor. This is just marvelous and we hope the pictures will speak for themselves.
