French Vintage Cognac Bottles 8 different EIFFEL TOWER+

Welcome to Broctique Vintage French Antiques Our French 'Brocante' Where You Will Find Curiosities, Accessories and Linens for Your Home from France ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~French Country Authenticity~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Fabulous Group of 8 Graduated Eiffel Tower Bottles~ Most of these 8 bottles, in fact most probably 7 of them once contained Cognac or some other type of alcohol. The other bottle (the next-to-last smallest is an Avon perfum bottle--likely 'collectible' in its own right). These bottles have been sold in the millions over the years as tourist souvenirs but to come up with this collection of 8 different bottles in graduated size has been a real challenge. My husband and I visit many country flea markets in France all spring and summer and occasionally one of us spots one of these bottles. It is a kind of 'inside joke' contest as to who spots the next 'Tower' bottle first. Often weeks or even months go by without spotting a single one--and then...V oila ...another one appears and it's in just the right size and it's different from all the rest--or disappointingly, No, we already have that one. Now at last we have decided that this group is complete. Each bottle is a 'different take' on the actual design of that famous and iconic Parisian landmark, La Tour Eiffel. None of the bottles are the same in design details. Three of them have tops. The second largest originally had a 'screw' top but came with a glass stopper so that it could later be used as a decanter. Another has a cork-tipped stopper and the perfume bottle has its original screw top. A couple still have a few dried stains of cognac color in the bottom. Some have a mark on the bottom indicating the amount of liquid they held or where they were made (Lyon and Toulouse for example). One has the year 1937 marked on the side. Some are entirely unmarked. All are in perfect conditon with no chips or cracks. These great bottles range in size from 4 1/2 inches to 18 inches tall. Assembling this group of 8 , all different and in graduated sizes has taken us 3 summers of searching. These bottles are heavy, together weighing just over 7 kilos or about 15 lbs which explains their 'from France to an international destination' shipping cost. The cost quoted is actually a bit less that what the true cost to us will be. (If this group is shipped inside France the cost will be somewhat less. Contact us for details.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We think this group is fabulous and frankly it is hard for us to part with our 'Towers' after the fun we had collecting the them.
