Exceptional, large, antique (circa 1900) majolica pot, stunning color (burgundy, turquoise, ochre outside; turquoise inside). 8 1/2"high; 11" wide without the handles. Excellent condition with soft, age-appropriate crazing in glaze, and one glazing blister (1/8" x 3/16") w the red glaze has come off. No structural flaws, chips or cracks. The small finial on the bottom of one handle has been repaired; not noticeable. Maked on bottom: Frie Onnaing mark; Made in France; Mepoco Ware; and the number 868. Heavy -- weighs about 8 pounds.
