For your bidding pleasure we have from the estate of Uncle John, this FRIENDS OF NRA 2006 Sponsor gift. Titled the "THE PARATROOPER", number 1795. Although we do not have the box, this was among the others that we have listed and was never displayed. The plastic protector strip remains on the brass plaques. Measuring 12 inches tall with the statue and base. The bottom of the base carries the details of the statue and information on the artist, Rick Terry. Uncle John was a big supporter of the NRA as well as an avid hunter. He attended all the local NRA dinners/fund raisers and always came home with an arm load of purchases and winnings from the drawings. I am sure that Aunt Kathy knew that he ended up paying more than the items were worth in the long run by the time he purchased all the drawing tickets, but that was Uncle John. A major collector of all things hunting, I will be adding other Friends of NRA statues as soon as Aunt Kathy can get them to me. Uncle John passed almost 2 years ago and she is still finding it hard to go through his things.
