is a vintage square fan made by Frigid. The model number is OSC20. It was probably made in the 1960's, but I cannot be exactly sure. It was found among other items in the basement of a home w a woman lived and moved to another state. Everything found was left behind by her, and from that point, no one in our area has been able to contact her since. This fan is made of heavy steel and has a 4 winged all metal blade. It is still nice and shiny. The fan runs very smoothly and the blades are in perfect balance with no vibrations. One unique feature of this fan is that is has aluminum silver vertical shutters on the front of the fan that actually move back and forth on a separate motor. This gives the effect of an oscillating fan by moving the air back and forth. You can choose to have this oscillating effect or the shutters can remain in one position for a straight air flow in any direction. You simply turn the oscillating motor on or off. One thing to note that when turning the fan off, you must also turn the oscillating motor off or this feature will keep running without the blade motor on. This would be an excellent window fan with this feature. The fan has 3 speeds of low, medium, and high. Both the speeds of the fan and the oscillating feature are controlled by push button switches.
