Fritz Scholder (1937 - 2005) Bird Indian, Signed & Numbered Lithograph Fritz Scholder, Bird Indian, Signed and Numbered 16/100 and measures 22 x 30 inches. Medium, Lithograph.A lovely and evocative Schroder piece, with Indian in profile and bird motif. Generous use of negative space adds to the drama as well as a red splash in a vertical line down the left side of the image. Monochromatic use of palate. Unframed. Some slight moisture damage on lower left of paper, but not on art itself and easily covered by a matte when piece is framed. See photos to inspect any discoloration. Top left and right corners slightly torn - again easily covered up by a nicely framed matte. I worked on the Disney feature Film The Lone Ranger last year which is coming out this summer and the theme of Bird imagery in American Indian culture is integral to the film and a powerful motif. This is an extremely beautiful image.
