Fruit jar, RB #2461-1, clear, pint, smooth lip, lightning dimple neck seal, vertically side-embossed, "Quong Yuen Sing & Co. San Francisco U.S.A. Bean Cakes Net 12 Oz.", plus embossed Chinese characters. Neck, "Wireside", base "OI" (in diamond), heel marked "10-2192". Good original wire & lid. Embossing on jar is sharp and unscratched. Glass is heavy, shiny, with almost no wear. No chips, cracks, or haze, except for a small (1/4") flat flake at the top of the wire notch on the front dimple (not noticeable). These unusual jars, with Chinese characters, were made for the Chinese community in San Francisco in the 1930's. Scarce jar. Thanks for looking!
