A FUGITIVE CROSSES HIS TRACKS by Aksel Sandemose Translated from the Norwegian for the first time by Eugene Gay-Tifft Published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1936 - First American Edition This is an engrossing and fascinating story as a man tells the reader about a murder he committed seventeen years ago, as he tries to explain his reasons and how it has affected him as he continued his life and raised a family. The book is in good condition; the spine is tight and the cover is clean with minor shelf wear including fading, scuffing and/or bumping. The pages, other than minor yellowing with age, are clear and easily readable, and the top stain is still readily visible. There is no dust jacket. See photographs. The book is a very rare and wonderful book, long out of print, and it would be an excellant addition to anyone's book collection. The book is about 5-1/2" x 8" x 1-1/4", 414 pages, and about 1-2 lbs.+/- with packaging.
