FULLY RESTORED 1904 CONCERT ROLLER ORGAN + 6 cobs *NOTE - I've re-listed because I decided to let this organ be purchased by auction rather than buy-it-now . This organ was given to me by a dear friend for use by my daughter. I rebuild organettes and this instrument is now fully restored and plays beautifully. The reeds have been carefully tuned to their original pitch standard and sound wonderful. The vast majority of roller organs on Ebay are unrestored. Those that are still playing will not do so for long without complete rebuilding. The original cloth and leather were never meant to last 100+ years. This is a chance to own one that is fully rebuilt by someone that knows what they are doing. It has new cloth and valves and all the interior wood surfaces have been sealed with shellac. The carriage has been fully serviced and re-calibrated. No detail was overlooked. The case is in wonderful condition and original decals are truly magnificent. The original playing instructions are intact. The glass was missing when I got the organ and has been replaced. You will not find a better looking and playing instrument on all of Ebay. All it needs is a new owner with the ability to load a cob and turn the handle. Why am I selling this wonderful instrument? My daughter is going to be traveling to Peru in the late fall to work with children in the rural mountain areas around Cuzco . I want to equip her with a much smaller Gem roller organ that I will highly modify to be used in the work with the kids. It’s going to be ruggedized and weather-proofed for field use and will be set up for playing like the old fashioned monkey organ grinders. I know the kids in Peru will love hearing it and singing with it. This Concert organ is being sold at my daughter’s request to help fund the portable organ project. We need to acquire a Gem roller organ and specific cob hymn tunes and other tunes that the children know. It’s going to be expensive and we can only afford it if we sell this valuable instrument. .
