USS Enterprise kit that i purchased sometime in late 1970's was built with a special kit that provided fiber optic and LED lighting. The lights are timed to light up at various moments, just like on the tv show. The nacelle LEDs rotate in a circular pattern. Model rests on a flexible goose neck support that is connected to a round black plate, similiar to microphone mic. Runs on one 9V battery. The Enterprise has a layer of dust, due to age, which gives it a realistic space look. Let me know if you have any other questions. Not sure about the shipping costs for this item so i estimated $20 to obtain proper packing materials and to cover Fedex ground shipping to anywhere in U.S. The model itself is 18 inches long and 9 inches high.
