Item - J. Furnival Black Transferware Ironstone Platter Description - This absolutely wonderful black transferware platter was made by Jacob Furnival (England) between 1845 and 1870 in a pattern called "Castle Scenery." The ironstone platter measures 15" long and 11 3/4" wide. It is in fantastic condition, with NO cracks, chips or repairs. Ready for proud display! T are some light staining marks under the glaze along the edge (see pic), but nothing that detracts from this platter's beauty. I did do a blacklight test to check for defects/repairs, and t were none. T are a few light surface scuffs, but again, nothing major at all. The platter has the "J.F." initials withing the stamp, and t is an incised "P" and "14" on the back as well. Don't miss out on this one!
